Date: 2008-01-02 07:15 pm (UTC)Uh...I don't think so.
わたしは左衛門です. It's like Death Note...
Date: 2008-01-02 07:24 pm (UTC)The three kanji, or the Japanese symbolic letters used in my name are means "east" (sa), "guard" (e) and "gate" (mon).

Date: 2008-01-02 07:26 pm (UTC)East guard gate?...Thats an odd name.

See? Where I'm from, we write out names in symbols and each one can have more than one meaning. The first symbol for "sa" means "east"
left, second symbol for "e" means "guard" and the third one for "mon" means "gate"looks like one.I can also write it in a different way. This is only kanji

(no subject)
Date: 2008-01-02 07:51 pm (UTC)Well I normally don't write. But I have never seen Hiro use a brush before.
ルビー (rubi)
Date: 2008-01-02 08:02 pm (UTC)Also, I've heard of some style to spell out such names without the use of symbols, but it almost seems elusive to Japan. due to circumstances.

Date: 2008-01-02 08:06 pm (UTC)Really?...Oh so not everyone in your world writes like that?...That has to get confusing.

First symbol means "Ru" and second symbol means "bi". The dash at the end means a long hold
maybe a secondon the previous letter. As for your question, it's not that. Traditionally, we write by symbols. However, it seems that...outsiders invented a way to write my language in a way that they can understand it.
